TERRIBLE THINGS DO HAPPEN

It is a sad thing to have to say, but the Roman Catholic Church no longer exists in Belize, and we have lost a lot because of this. Nowhere in any of the former Roman Catholic Churches in Belize is the only approved Mass offered. That is the Mass of the Holy Council of Trent. This council decreed that the Latin Mass could never be changed. The current mass being offered Hs no approval of a lawful source. Nowhere in the Council of Vatican One or Two did it say anything about-facing the people. Those who offered this new unholy liturgy have just made the changes on their own. They have moved like the Lemmings in their rush to drown in the sea.

Vatican II was barely over and the ‘heretics’ introduced the “new rite” and Catholics not only worshipped in the vernacular worldwide, but the very prayers of their worship were no longer Catholic. This “new liturgy” resembled the “masses” of Crammer and of Luther, not the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass of the Roman Rite. The most visible element in a Catholic’s spiritual life was missing: the Roman (Tridentine) Latin Mass was abolished, “previous decrees not withstanding,” we were told.

Once before the Catholic Church had fallen to such a sorry state, and that was during the period of the false teaching of Gnosticism, during this period almost the entire Church fell and even the Pope of the period fell into believing this heresy. All of the Church buildings were under the control of the enemies of Christ, and they had to meet in open fields and caves to celebrate the Liturgy.

We are sorry to say that we do not see any one holding fast in Belize. But the hope is there.
